(Everybody wants you by Damone plays in the background, signaling the start of nCws favorite TV show, the Pulse! A highlight clip of nCws finest is shown for an opening montage. Fade in a sound stage, with a large desk and a neon "The Pulse" sign behind it. A man sits at the desk, black suit, gray tie, he shuffles the papers in front of him as the music fades and the camera shifts into position. The expression on his face is priceless.)
Keybo: Ahhh.. it almost feels strange to be back here, doesn't it? But I'm here. I said I would overcome, and I did. Now if we could just keep a tag team around to take those belts from them so they shut up. But, I know why you're here. You're here for...
The PULSE!
That's right, It's not a dream. It wasn't a one time deal. So let's get to the Rundown!
(Keybo spins in the chair, stopping when he's facing the left side of the desk, looking into camera #2.)
Keybo: Battlegrounds is one of the most exciting shows on television. It's also one of the most violent and brutal, with so much at stake. The landscape of the promotion can change at every show, but Battlegrounds has become the landmark for shifts.
Wired
Corey Shane vs Freakke the Clown
Keybo: I like this clown. I really do. There have been tons of clown gimmicks over the years, but this one takes the cake.. or pie. Get well soon kid.
Freakke the Clown 1-0
Tommy Victor vs Spike Kane vs Jack Hammond vs Gabriel Karras
Keybo: Spike was the clear favorite, and he didn't disapoint during the match. He waited until later in the show to do that.
Spike Kane 2-0
Glen Nodoveit vs Will Washington
Keybo: I'm glad that these two were mature enough to be professional and not let what was said cause undue harm to one another.
Will Washington 3-0
JackHammer vs Xavier Williams vs Seth Evans vs Nathan Doe
Keybo: Seth Evans isn't perfect. But he is good, and he took on three men who totally had the ability to do the same, and he came out on top.
Seth Evans 4-0
Battlegrounds
Ricky Johnson vs Brad Kane
Keybo: Brad Kane is one tough man. He fought like hell to beat Ricky, then got jumped by that bastard Spike, and he's still on his feet. Something tells me they're not done yet.
Brad Kane 5-0
Angel vs Philip Burns
Keybo: Angel is a phenomenal wrestler, everyone knows that. But Philip Burns is one of the best ever, and he proved that by hanging tough and pulling out the win.
Philip Burns 6-0
Steve Awesome (c) vs Mike Honcho vs Cameron Corvis
nCw National Title Match
Keybo: Cameron Corvis finally said he had enough, and used that sheer grit to beat the hall of famer Steve Awesome and the unpredictable Honcho. Now Cam steps into the light, representing this company as one of its best.
Steve Awesome 6-1
Sexy Jason (c) vs Dark Prophet vs JFK vs The Ace vs Xavier Cross
Xtreme Warfare
Keybo: After nearly dying, all five men are being commended for their courage and effort. But XC is picking up where he left off, becoming one of the few men to become the Xtreme Champion twice.
The Ace 6-2
Lance Ryan vs Joe Everyman
Keybo: I used to think Everyman was special. I was right, but I guess the only thing that could really motivate him was being a giant jerk ass. Nice job.
Lance Ryan 6-3
Rob Diamond (c) and Dirty Deal (c) vs The Syndicate and Jimmy Zane
Champions vs Challengers Warfare Match
Keybo: Who knew out of both of these tag teams Dirty Deal would be the ones who got serious and got it done? Not me.
Syndicate and Zane 6-4
Adam Knite (c) vs Falcon
nCw World Title Match
Keybo: Well, AJ is back. But he elected to stay out of this like a man of honor. In fact, in a surprise, everyone stayed away, leaving Bates as a spectator. And after an epic battle of two great wrestlers, Falcons dream came true and he now represents the company as it's best. ....Still a jerk though.
Adam Knite 6-5
Week: 6-5
2009: 173-102
Keybo: Half the champions now bear different names. The landscape of nCw has changed. And the biggest tournament we produce begins now. Let us glimpse at it shall we?
Keybo: Suspense may lack that Road to the Gold flavor, but it's still delicious.
Suspense
Terminus vs William Spencer
Keybo: Lot of hullabaloo about both of these guys from their signings. We'll just have to see who blinks first.
Terminus
Lance Ryan vs Gabriel Karras
Keybo: Lance Ryan has said he'd like to work from the bottom, and nCw management has honored that by keeping him out of the Road to the Gold. But hey, he's Lance Ryan, he can just do it all again.
Lance Ryan
The Ace vs Philip Burns
Xtreme Rules
Keybo: Philip Burns sits pretty with a National title shot on the horizon. The Ace is mad that he's not in the tournament, and he's looking to take it out on Phil.
Philip Burns
Keybo: On Trauma, the tournament begins.
Trauma
Jack Hammond vs Spike Kane
Road to the Gold
Keybo: Two former World Champions battle for the chance to re-hit that spotlight. Spike might look to have this one done, but Hammy is scrappy, and Brad Kane may be looking to take something away from him.
Jack Hammond
Mike Honcho vs Gib
Road to the Gold
Keybo: Gib.. or Harold.. whatever has received the help he needed, and will return to this ring, entered in the tournament. But he has to deal with another kind of craziness altogether, in Honcho.
Gib
Glen Nodoveit vs Seth Evans
Road to the Gold
Keybo: Two promising new talents will see who can advance to possibly the top. Maybe they can, but maybe they won't, we'll just have to wait.
Seth Evans
Steve Awesome vs JFK
Road to the Gold
Keybo: And on the flip side to that, two of the biggest stars of today fight for the same honor. Steve Awesome has certainly been there, but JFK has been hungry for a looong time.
Steve Awesome
Keybo: Trauma ends with half the next round decided. Now all they can do is wait for who they will be facing, and scout them.
Collision
Mac Bane vs Jimmy Zane
Road to the Gold
Keybo: Two friends face off, or are they friends? Zane seems to be a bit mad at being blamed for losing, and he just might make Bane feel how mad he really is.
Jimmy Zane
Ricky Johnson vs Joe Everyman
Road to the Gold
Keybo: Two well known underdogs face off for their chance at the spotlight. Well, Everyjerk, you've been whining for this. Now's your chance. But, I hope Ricky stops you. Just want you to know that.
Ricky Johnson
Sexy Jason vs Hexx
Road to the Gold
Keybo: Alright, who let Hexx in? What kind of mistake is this? Hexx gets World title shots every couple months for no reason, now he's in the tournament. The world is so not fair.
Sexy Jason
Will Washington vs Alex Jones
Road to the Gold
Keybo: AJ has returned, dropping his stage name to really be himself. He faces a great talent in Will Washingon, just the thing he needs to prove to himself that he's still got it.
Alex Jones
Falcon, Cameron Corvis, and Rob Diamond vs Dirty Deal and Xavier Cross
Champions Showcase Tag Match[/color]
Keybo: Six Champions, one match, for no reason other than to say.. Hey, here we are. But three of them are a stable, and I hate Dirty Deal, so there you go.
The Forgotten
Keybo: And that concludes the action for the week and the first round of the Road to the Gold tournament. But, hey, it's a post pay per view show, and that means.. ranking time.
(He spins around again, back to the center, and camera #1, losing the turban in the process.)
World Championship
Champion: Falcon
#1 Contender: Adam Knite
Dark Horse: The 16 Men in the Road to the Gold
Keybo: Falcon realized his dream by winning the belt at Battlegrounds, but now he has sixteen different men he could face, making preperations harder. But Adam was reluctant to relinquish the title, maybe he wants a rematch. Hard to tell.
National Championship
Champion: Cameron Corvis
#1 Contender: Philip Burns
Dark Horse: Mike Honcho
Keybo: Cameron Corvis fought through hell and high water to get what he wanted. But with Steve in the tournament, he should have his eyes on Philip Burns. But Honcho isn't gone, not physically anyway.
X Division Championship
Champion: Rob Diamond
#1 Contender: Nick Logan?
Dark Horse: Bob the Builder?
Keybo: It's hard to say with almost everyone in a big tournament who can run at the other belts, but Logans available, and his partner is busy. So maybe he can find the time to see if he'll shine alone.
Xtreme Championship
Champion: Xavier Cross
#1 Contender: The Ace
Dark Horse: Fergus Callaghan
Keybo: XC fought through hell to get where he is. But the Ace was the one standing tall, and he'll use that to get another chance.
Tag Team Championship
Champion: Dirty Deal
#1 Contender: Who's left?
Dark Horse: ......
Keybo: The tournament broke up the only stable tag team left, so we're going to have to throw something together on the fly, I just hope this time it works for more than a month.
Keybo: That's it for The Pulse, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Keybo Shabaz, and remember..
