Over the course of the past four years, Natalie Snow has come to know Evan "Terminus" Andrews, and to love him with all of her heart.
She's has spent the better part of that time fighting to advance causes that they both hold dear to their heart, because as far as Natalie's concerned, her husband represents the ideals of loyalty and honor as well as anyone that she's ever met.
She's seem him fight with every single fiber of his being to advance these causes, and that's probably she feels so bothered when other people- people who don't know him half as well as she does- take it upon themselves to question her husband's sincerity, and ability to fulfill the promises that he makes to himself and to his friends.
So, it's probably not a good idea to mention the name Mary Katherine MacDonald around her, because the very last thing that she wants to do is to give any thought to a tawdry tramp that was only to happy to discard her friendship with Evan when it no longer suited her needs!
In fact, it's probably not a good idea to mention the names of anyone who might be inclined to antagonize or criticize her husband at the moment, given the way that she's feeling, because, if it were up to her, they would be eradicated from this existence without a moment's worth of notice!
How dare they speak ill of her husband!?
They must be suffering from an acute case of jealousy, Natalie thinks as she paces back and forth across her apartment. They must be so damned petrified about having to deal their own shortcomings that they're willing to do anything to avoid that unpleasant task...Including doing their level best to attack her darling Evan!
Well, whatever their reasons for doing so, it still makes her violently angry to have to listen to the insults and invective that they insist upon hurling at her husband.
Natalie would like nothing better than to take their worthless necks and wring them until they were simply unable to speak! If she had her way, they would be beaten and flogged without mercy or remorse, and then they would be punished again...
And again....And....
"Natalie?"
The sound of her husband's voice compels Natalie to return to the here and now, and she blinks a couple of times as she notes the sight of him standing near the entrance of their apartment, and regarding her with a mixture of amusement, sympathy, and concern across his face.
Natalie: I...I'm sorry, Evan. Did you say something to me?
Terminus: You were doing it again...
Natalie: Um...Doing what, my love?
Terminus: Up until a second ago, you were pacing back and forth across the living room, while hissing threats and curses under your breath.
Natalie: Oh...Well..I'm sorry, Evan, but sometimes I just can't help myself. Sometimes I just find myself getting so upset about all of criticisms that you've had to put up with as of late!
Natalie watches her husband break out into a smile as he crosses the room and takes her hands in his.
Terminus: You know...I seem to recall a time, shortly after we first met, when you just as critical of me as anyone else has been throughout the course of my life...
Natalie: And, I was wrong to act that way, Evan!
Natalie watches her husband's smile fade, and then dissolve as he stares intently in her direction.
Terminus: I'm not so certain that you were wrong to be critical of me, Natalie. You were entitled to think of me however you wished back then, and it was up to me to prove to you that the rather low opinion of me that you had at that point was mistaken.
Natalie, as she breaks into a broad grin: Well, I have to admit that I'm extremely pleased about the fact that you were able to prove me wrong, my love, and I simply cannot wait for Friday to come so that you can prove your detractors wrong once again!
Natalie watches her lover nod her head as a contemplative look appears in his eyes. After a second or two of silence, the slight smile on Evan's face returns as replies to her comment.
Terminus: Maybe you shouldn't wait until then, my dear. I think that now might be a good time as any for me to respond to a couple of criticisms that have been leveled against me...
So, with that in mind., would you be so kind as to get the web-cam, Natalie?
Natalie, as her grin grows a little wider: Of course...
Natalie quickly sets up the camera as she watches her husband take a seat on the coach, and then nods to let him know that she's ready to start filming his next message to nCw. Evan returns the nod, and then smiles slightly through his mask as he lounges back casually on the couch, and begins to speak in a pleasant, and almost friendly tone of voice:
Terminus: Good evening. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Evan Andrews, although I'm probably better known throughout the industry as "Terminus".
*Smile grows a bit wider*
Still, since it seems that some people have difficulty remembering the name "Terminus", and insist upon referring to me as "Terminator", then I should probably state that I'm cool with being referred to simply by given name.
So, feel free to call me Evan. It's really not a big deal.
Anyway, this message is being sent to the opponents that I'll be facing this week in a Fatal Four Way Match at the next Friday Night Suspense. Its intent is to give them a bit of insight into who I am as a person, rather than have them rely upon any mistaken impressions of who people think I might be when they first see me.
You see, in every federation I've been a part of, I've had to deal with any number of people who claim that I'm simply too small, or too serious, or too enigmatic to truly make an impact in this industry.
And, while I confess, that these criticisms have bothered me in the past, I've come to realize that the people who have made them probably have reasons for thinking the way that they do, and that its' up to me to prove them wrong.
So, it will be up to me to prove to my opponent that my size isn't an issue, in much the same manner that I proved that point when I defeated a much larger William Spencer last week.
It will be up to me to prove that I'm not too serious or driven, but simply focused enough to deal with the challenge presented by three wrestlers who all would like nothing better than to advance their careers in nCw by gaining the victory in this contest.
And, it will be up to me to do so by showing them a glimpse of who I really am.
You see, gentlemen, the reason why I choose to wear this mask isn't because of a desire to conceal my identity, or to lend an aura of mystery to my appearance in the hope that it might intimidate my opposition...
No, the reason why I wear this particular garment, and wrestle under the name Terminus is because there have been other men who have done the exact same thing in the past. These men tried like hell to make a name for themselves in the sport...And, really, the only reason why they weren't able to succeed was due to sheer misfortune.
I'd like to think that, where ever they are, my predecessors would be proud of the effort that I've made to honor their memory...
And, this week, it's up to me to make certain that their memory continues to be honored at your expense.
It's up to me to make certain that happens...
And it's up to the three of you to try and stop me.
It's up to you, Alex, to prove that you're capable of achieving a measure of the glory that you once held back in the day...Because as it stands, there has been no indication in recent performances that you're anything more than a mere shell of your former self.
It's up to you, Freakke, to prove that you're capable of relying more upon a series of tired old sight gags to distract an opponent from the fact that, quite frankly, your skill-set simply isn't extensive enough to win a match of this sort.
It's up to you, Curtis, to prove that you're capable upon relying upon his own talent and ability to win matches in nCw. Unfortunately for you, Xavier Cross won't be wrestling by your side this week, so you can't rely upon him to save you from certain defeat, or to secure a victory when all appeared to be lost, so it's up to you to prove that you're capable of doing something similar, without having to rely upon the efforts of your partner or someone else to carry you to undeserved victory.
But, of even more importance...it is now up to you to prevent me from issuing my response to those critics who continue to claim that I'm too small, too serious, and too enigmatic to truly make an impact in nCw...
And I don't think you can...
Because, I've been waiting a long time to issue my answer to these people, and will do everything that is needed to ensure that they hear a message that, in essence, will consist of two simple words...
"Too Bad".
And I, for one, will be very interested to hear what my critics will have to say once that message is given.
With that, Evan nods his head to Natalie, who shuts off the camera and breaks out into an even wider smile as she steps forward and wraps herself in his arms.
Because, at the moment, she no longer feels any of the anger that was coursing through her system earlier in the day. All she feels is a sense of happiness about the fact that her husband will soon get an opportunity to issue his response...
And while it's too bad for Freakke, Alex, and Curtis that the message will be sent at their expense, Natalie probably won't feel very badly when she stands at ringside and watches this happen.
Hell no...Natalie won't feel bad one bit bad, at all.
She's has spent the better part of that time fighting to advance causes that they both hold dear to their heart, because as far as Natalie's concerned, her husband represents the ideals of loyalty and honor as well as anyone that she's ever met.
