The cameras open up inside of the hotel where Seth Evans was staying for the upcoming Road To The Gold III event…he had a small smile on his face, while he looked past the camera, at someone to the side. At the current moment, we couldn’t see who it was but he just nodded his head and licked his lips before staring directly into the camera letting his face go a little more stern as he started to speak.
“The question has often been brought up by you, Rob…what am I going to do about you sleeping with ‘my girlfriend’?”
A short pauses follows this question, while he glances back ahead of him. His face keeps that stern look on his face while he tries to think about what he’s going to do.
“You want to know why I have pretty much ignored that? I know, I know that you went to Toronto, Ontario in hopes of finding my girlfriend -- and I’m not going to deny that the home you went to was in fact my apartment. As far as my girlfriend goes, though, she has been living in Buffalo with me for the most part…so there really is not much to say about that. You ran into some woman who claimed to be Camilla, and we both do know that woman very well. You see, Rob, that woman you spent the night with and had all kinds of unprotected sex…she’s known as a swinger around our parts. More than once, she has tried to seduce me.”
Suddenly, the person that Seth was looking towards finally comes into view of the camera. It is the fine girlfriend, Camilla, Seth’s girlfriend that has not slept with Rob Diamond. Aside from the obvious reason that she’s taken, she’s very scared of getting some kind of STD.
“To give you a little bit of courtesy, the courtesy that you never gave me; you may want to get yourself checked…”
The warning should have probably gone to the friend that slept with Rob, knowing full well that he probably has more diseases than a Chinese hooker. Seth’s arm wrapped around the waist of his girlfriend, while he continued to speak towards the camera.
“To the point of this, though, I don’t see the point in the game plan that you’re pulling. You went up to Toronto to do what, exactly? Aren’t you always the guy that babbles on about how you don’t care about our personal lives, you’re not going to share yours…and what do you do? You go up to Toronto to try to ruin my personal life? So much for not caring, Rob. You really showed us!
There is one thing that you did say that made a lot of sense, and it was all this talk about respect…because I always talk about respect. Giving it, getting it. Worthy, not worthy. I talk about respect a lot of the time -- because it’s what I do…I respect people. I respect athletes. I respect the people that get into that ring week in, and week out, doing what we do for a living! I respect the people that sit in sold out arenas week in, and week out, because they help us with paying our bills.”
Seth licks his lips again, his eyes faltering just for a moment from the camera. His mind lost in the thought of respect, the respect that he has given Rob Diamond for countless weeks…no matter how much he has pushed him. Even throughout the charade of him pretending to be sleeping with his girlfriend.
“Respect, Rob. It’s very important to me…that’s why I come onto the camera, and I preach it. Because it’s what I believe in…”
After a little bit of movement following this quick statement, Seth brings his arm from around his girlfriend and sits closer to the camera while on the edge of the bed.
“What do you believe in?”
Another brief pause while Seth thought to himself, wondering just what Rob Diamond may believe in…not being a mind reader, though, he gave up on that and went more onto his own beliefs while sitting back on the bed again and allowing his arm to go back to the waist of Camilla.
“Something that I have always been told, ever since I was a young chap…just a little guy, barely even five years old. Do what you believe! Preach what you believe! If it’s something that you truly believe in, you will want to get everybody you can to also support it…that’s why I do it, Rob. That’s why I preach it. Because I want you to follow my example, I want Falcon to follow my example. Anybody that is under contract with a professional wrestling organization around the world, I want them to follow my example.
For the last week, I have focused completely on this match…I have been preparing for this match, and this match alone! I remember a compliment that I got from Jimmy Zane a couple weeks back. Respecting the fact that I look ahead, and I look to achieve…I know, I know. Bad example. You defeated Jimmy Zane. That’s why I’m not necessarily following in the same footsteps that he had just one month ago…
For the most part, I do look ahead…not this time, though. This time I decided that I’m going to do things a little different; I’m going to focus on this match. Here, and now. I’m going to do this match! And I’m going to walk out with that X-Division Championship tomorrow night because of being focused.
During this last week, you’ve been wasting your time trying to get that psychological edge over me…and right when you think that you get in my head, the mirrors start to shift. The mirrors have shifted, they’ve changed, they’ve showed you the reality…that you only got as far into my personal life as I let you. I’m not going to claim that I had some sixth sense that I knew you were going to go after Camilla, but I asked her to stay at the apartment I have in Buffalo for the meantime until I win your championship, and she did…it paid off in the end.”
His voice sounded more relieved knowing that there was no possible way that Rob Diamond could have gotten to her, but he knew that he had nothing to worry about even if Rob had talked to her. He would have just received a hard slap to the face, and been sent on his way.
“Right when you think that you’re getting closer to breaking my mentality, I change my mentality.”
A chuckle escapes from Seth Evans, and a smirk crosses his face.
“A famous quote comes to mind: ‘Just when you think you know the answers, I change the questions.’
That’s exactly what happened here…I’m playing into your game? Or are you playing into mine? Am I staring across the table from you, and moving my rook for you to take him…just so I can get you in that checkmate? I’ll let you think you have me. I’m going to play by your rules, Rob Diamond.
Because this last week has been one of my most dreaded weeks! I give you credit for that. You broke me down, you forced me to hit you in the face…and if you think I’m going to be able to keep my sanity throughout this week before getting into that ring with you, you’ve got another thing coming. When I get into the ring with you tomorrow night, I’m going to let you know that the punch was barely even a taste of what you would get…it was more of a whiff of what you’ll get.”
The smirk left his face, as it went back to a more stern look while thinking back to this last week. The time that he broke his code…
“I broke my code. I hit you…yes, I’ve admitted that. You’ve known it.”
It was only gone for a brief second before he couldn’t help but smirk again. A new side to Seth Evans, the cocky, arrogant since that he has spoken of in the past was starting to be seen -- his way of getting back at Rob.
“I’m about to break a hell of a lot more than just that code, so that’s going to be the least of my worries…we’re going to step into that ring, and I’m not going to aim for the competition. I’m not going to aim just for the gold…I’m going to aim for annihilation.
When I’m done with you, you’re going to know that I’m not worthy of joining The Forgotten. Because I’m just too damn good for the three of you!
Wait…what was that, Seth? You just broke your code! F*ck it. As I said, I’m about to break a lot of them…through the rest of this promo, and tomorrow night.
Annihilation…is what I’m going to aim for. I’m going to aim to drag you around outside of that ring and make you look at all of those fans, as they point and laugh at you. While you struggle to look at them with the blood in your eyes. Then I’m going to force you to look me in the eyes and make sure you’re paying attention…”
Again, he brought his arm back from his girlfriend and folded his hands together in front of him while staring directly into the camera. Letting Rob Diamond get a good look right into his eyes. As if to tell him to pay attention.
“Paying attention when I tell you that I am going to win that X-Division Championship. From you!”
Seth’s voice had risen with a little bit of anger in it, as he pointed towards the camera. Pointed towards Rob Diamond.
“You wanted this side of me, you wanted to see the sick side of Seth Evans…well, you got it!”
His head slightly tilting to the side while his gaze never falters.
“Road To The Gold…III…I’m going to f*ck you up, and then I’m going to f*ck you -- out of your championship. Don’t like it? I don’t either. Too damn bad.”
He gives a quick shrug of his shoulders to let everybody know just how much he cares, at the moment. The fact of the matter was that Rob Diamond tried to get into his personal life, and he would have to beat him down for it.
“Now…just for you…just so your accusation of me stealing your style -- will be real. Here’s a piece of a song for you.”
The scene suddenly fades, but we still hear the chorus of the music playing in the background.
Enemy, take a one good look at me.
Eradicate what you will always be,
Your tainted flesh, polluted soul through a mirror I behold.
Throw a punch, shards bleed on the floor
Tearing me apart but I don't care anymore.
Should I regret or ask myself
Are You Dead Yet?
